Vineyards

Location, climate, altitude, soil composition and proper vineyard management and training are all key factors that contribute greatly to the quality and style of our wines.

Our entire expertise and know-how are condensed in our vineyard.
Located in Luján de Cuyo, one of the main winegrowing regions in Mendoza, we apply the best agricultural techniques to obtain excellent quality grapes.

ideal conditions

Barberis presents an extraordinary combination of climate conditions and soils with precise vine management techniques resulting in wines with a distinct and unique personality.

sunlight

With an average of 300 sunny days a year.

altitude

Between 950 and 1000 masl.

soil

Alluvial soils with low organic content, composed mainly of silt, clay, sand and a rocky subsoil lay

rainfall

200 mm average a year.

Our plots feature VSP (Vertical Shoot Position) trellis and anti-hail nets as protection against severe weather conditions. Additionally, our drip irrigation system contributes to a rational use of water (a scarce resource, especially in Mendoza) while also managing irrigation schedules based on the vines' actual water needs.
